Job overview
We are seeking a committed General Practitioner to join our Primary Care Service within the Humber Centre near Hull, providing high‑quality primary care to patients within a secure hospital setting.
You will deliver clinical assessments, triage, prescribing and ongoing management of acute and long‑term conditions, working closely with a skilled multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, person‑centred care.
Main duties of the job
You will deliver clinical assessments, triage, prescribing and ongoing management of acute and long‑term conditions, working closely with a skilled multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, person‑centred care.
As a key member of the team working in the Humber Centre Primary Care Service, the GP will manage a caseload, dealing with a wide range of presenting health care needs in a primary care service based within a secure hospital setting.
The post-holder will work with clinical colleagues to ensure the highest standards of care are provided for all registered patients. The post-holder will also contribute to planning and decision making as part of the wider practice team.
The post-holder will be expected to support the development and delivery of Integrated Care across the hospital.

Qualifications, education and training
Essential criteria
- Fully qualified GP with GMC registration
- Evidence of annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate)

- Evidence of continued professional development
Knowledge and experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working within a secure setting
- Organised and efficient in record keeping and completion of paperwork
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working with a variety clinical software systems
Skills, competencies and personal qualities

- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with multi-disciplinary teams.
