Job overview
Acute Medical Unit West at Basildon Hospital is looking for a flexible, Friendly, hardworking Department Assistant who is willing to come and join our Team.
The role requires the staff to workdays, nights, weekend and Bank Holiday.
You have to be physical Fit to do this Role as it involves Manual Handling Tasks.
Main duties of the job
Transferring patients to the Wards and Imaging.
Collecting bloods products from the Blood Bank.
To collect/deliver Specimens from our Ward to the Lab.
Maintaining Medical Gas/Oxygen Cylinder stock during your shifts.
To assist the Site Managers/ED or other Assessment Areas in our division.
To have a full knowledge of the working equipment used on the ward, including its Maintenance and storage.
To respond to any Emergency in an appropriate and professional manner.
