Job overview

We are actively looking to appoint a Women & Children's Clerk to join our Basildon Hospital site. In this role you will be responsible for the clerical activities which support the efficient functioning of the Women’s and Children’s departments. We are seeking a well organised, compassionate professional.  

You will be frontline in meeting and welcoming patients, visitors and staff to the department and therefore you must be confident in dealing with people at all levels performing Reception, booking clerk and administrative duties.

We have high standards of professional behaviour that you will be expected to maintain. Good communication and team working skills are essential to this position.

Main duties of the job

•                Experience in working in a busy reception / customer facing role. 

•                Confirm patient demographics are correct and update Medway if required.

•                Work accurately and calmly under pressure 

•                Excellent telephone manner

•                Attention to detail

•                Update and enter information on to CareFlow as required.

•                To be able to multi-task

•                Book appointments

•                To undertake any general administrative duties as necessary
