Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital provider in the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System (ICS), which is a system of health and care partners working together for our local population.

Main duties of the job

If you are successful, your day-to-day duties will include:

  • The distribution of meals and drinks including water jugs, cooking of meals always maintaining hygiene standards.
  • The after-meal cleaning service, washing-up and using steriliser.
  • Stock rotation and control.
  • Working towards and completing your level 2 food hygiene certificate.

Education

Essential criteria
  • Good level of general education
  • Reasonable level of numeracy and literacy in English
Desirable criteria
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate

Skills and Experience

  • Ability to work effectively alone and as part of a team
Desirable criteria
  • Previous work experience in a healthcare environment desired but not essential as full training will be provided
