Job overview

Applications are invited to join as a permanent consultant to work alongside our existing Rheumatology consultants at Basildon Hospital. 

This department offers Rheumatology Services to a catchment population of 310,000 where we deliver safe and high-quality services and are an employer of choice for our workforce. 

Direct Clinical Care: 5* PA on average per week (includes clinical activity, clinically related activity, predictable & unpredictable work) and  Supporting Professional Activities: 5 PA core with 0.25 per trainee for educational supervision.

Main duties of the job

You will be expected to work as an integral member of the Rheumatology Department and assume responsibility for the care of their patients, running 4 clinics per week and inpatient referral service.  Our service is highly valued by patients, hospital and GP colleagues.
