The Diabetic Foot Clinic has a fantastic opportunity for a Specialist Podiatrist to join our warm and friendly team to be responsible for providing and maintaining a high standard of patient care, experience, and quality service at all times.
You must be prepared to work across the MSE sites according to the needs of the service as shifts are planned in accordance with provision of service and be prepared to work toward a seven day working week.

Main duties of the job
Your role will be responsible for providing high standards of specialist podiatry care for both in-patients and out-patients as part of the Diabetic Foot MDT across the in-patient and outpatient settings.
You will be expected as part of a team of podiatrists to establish effective systems of referral and service delivery; promoting the efficacy of podiatry care to a wide range of health care professionals, within the resources available and supported by dedicated Administration & Clerical assistance.
Your role will involve being responsible for the highest standards of specialist clinical practice in delivering podiatry services, within agreed national and local policies and clinical guidelines and to assess, diagnose and develop programs of care for high risk patients e.g. those with advanced neuro-vascular, tissue viability and associated biomechanical problems.
You will contribute to strategic development of departmental policy and service delivery, as part of the podiatry hospital team, to identify the need for podiatry services, evaluate priorities, service analysis, and plan/implement provision accordingly, within contractual agreement and will be expected to work in the Diabetic Foot Clinic whist working/liaising with other ward based health professionals and patients/public in all aspects of their care and service delivery.

- BSc Podiatry (or diploma in Podiatric Medicine with equivalent advanced experience)
Desirable criteria
- MSc or equivalent level of academic experience
- Non Medical prescribing or a willingness to work towards

- Podiatry experience in secondary care setting
