Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital provider in the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System (ICS), which is a system of health and care partners working together for our local population.
Within Mid and South Essex there are 149 GP practices, operating from over 200 sites, forming 27 Primary Care Networks and one Ambulance Trust. There are also three main community and mental health service providers who work together through a community collaborative.
We collaborate with other valuable partners, including three Healthwatch organisations, nine voluntary and community sector organisations and three top tier local authorities, with seven district, borough and city councils, as well as our local universities.
Job overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Data Manager to join our Haemoglobinopathy Coordinating Centre, supporting 'The Red Cell Network' in delivering high-quality data across NHS Trusts in London, the South of England, and East Anglia. This role is vital in coordinating and managing data for patients with haemoglobinopathies, such as sickle cell disorder and thalassemia, and will involve close collaboration with data managers, clinicians, and nursing staff across multiple locations.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication and negotiation skills, and a keen attention to detail. Your role will involve gathering, collating, and managing data from various Trusts to ensure accurate and consistent records, supporting our commitment to excellent patient care. You should be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively and have the skills to present complex data clearly and professionally.

• Collaborating with healthcare professionals to standardise data processes.
• Ensuring data accuracy and presenting findings in clear, meaningful formats.

- Previous Administrative experience in health care
- Demonstrable knowledge of administrative procedures at a high level of competence acquired through both training and experience
- Proven experience of working in an office environment
- Able to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks.

- Understanding of medical terminology
