Job overview

We are looking for a keen enthusiastic registered nurse, experienced and newly qualified to join our dynamic caring team, working in Gastroenterology 

This is a rewarding and is a fast-paced area delivering high quality specialist care Gastroenterology, working alongside the liver nurses, nutritional team, dietitians and endoscopy. 

Your role will involve formulating, giving and receiving patient centred handovers, assessing, developing and implementing patient care plan and evaluating care given, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and ensuring all drug administration is in accordance with legal and Trust directorate policies and procedures

Main duties of the job

You will ensure the discharge planning process starts on admission, to prevent delays and make good utilisation of ward beds, providing and maintain the highest possible standard of good nursing care.

You will be supported in developing and maintaining good ward management and organisational skills and assist with the provision of an environment conducive to the education of staff.
