Facilities Team Leader/Supervisor

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital provider in the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System (ICS), which is a system of health and care partners working together for our local population.

Within Mid and South Essex there are 149 GP practices, operating from over 200 sites, forming 27 Primary Care Networks and one Ambulance Trust. There are also three main community and mental health service providers who work together through a community collaborative.

We collaborate with other valuable partners, including three Healthwatch organisations, nine voluntary and community sector organisations and three top tier local authorities, with seven district, borough and city councils, as well as our local universities.

 

Job overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Manager and supervising the cleaning and catering provision within the Community Hospital Site.

You will be able to organise and supervise the Braintree Community Hospital Domestic, Catering, Portering and Security in a professional manner and ensure the provision of an efficient and quality service whilst meeting the needs of all service users. You will provide a courteous service ensuring that all duties and responsibilities are carried out in accordance with all Health and Safety procedures.

Main duties of the job

If successful, some of your responsibilities will be to: 

  • Respond promptly and appropriately to enquiries by telephone, email and in person.
  • Provide a high standard of customer service.
  • Administrative work is prioritised and completed within prescribed timescales.
  • Maintain good communication and co-operation with all wards and departments and feedback information, seeking advice as and when necessary to the Facilities Site Manager.

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of soft FM services
  • Knowledge &understanding of COSHH regulations
  • Basic IT & keyboard skills
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working in a healthcare environment

Qualifications

  • Good education GCSE C or above including Maths and English

  • Level 2 Food Hygiene
