Job overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Senior Administrator to join our Community Therapy Team on a 6-month fixed term contract, covering maternity leave. 

The Community Therapy Service is a tailored rehabilitation service that comprises of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Therapy Assistants and Therapy Assistant Practitioners. We offer assessment, advice and rehabilitation to people who have a health-related illness, injury or long term condition to help recover their health, cope with chronic conditions and slow the progress of degenerative disease. 

The administrator will work alongside therapy staff to ensure a smooth patient journey across the service and its associated services and support with the administrative functions related to the roles and responsibilities of the teams.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support for the Community Therapy Team and associated services and have specialist knowledge of these clinical services. 
  • Ensure a high quality, friendly and efficient frontline service to patients and staff.
  • Collect information over the telephone from patients referred to the service to support the triage process.
  • Book, cancel, reschedule appointments and ensure appointments are utilised to maximum capacity.
  • Monitor and chase patient equipment orders and inform staff of delivery times to enable follow-up visits to take place in a timely way.  
  • Answering queries, progress chasing, task related problem solving and resolving issues for clinical staff or patients and providing non-clinical advice or information to others
