Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital provider in the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System (ICS), which is a system of health and care partners working together for our local population.

As a key member of our dedicated team, you’ll work alongside the Multidisciplinary Team to manage daily clinics and investigations, supporting patients with urological conditions.

Main duties of the job
As the Healthcare Assistant within the Urology Team, you will:
- Champion equality by honouring each patient’s unique beliefs and identity, ensuring they feel respected and understood.
- Communicate essential information to the right team members, ensuring smooth coordination and seamless care.
- Carry out and precisely record clinical observations, capturing vital patient data to support quality care.
- Safely assist with patient movement and handling, using correct procedures to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Facilitate smooth transfers of patients between hospital departments, making each transition as seamless as possible.
- Be a compassionate presence for patients experiencing acute illness and provide support to relatives in challenging moments.
- Additionally, embrace flexibility by performing any other duties assigned by management, always within the scope of this essential role.
