Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an admin assistant to join the Nutrition & Dietetic department here at Broomfield Hospital . We are a department of Dietitians and 2 Dietetic Assistants . We are involved with delivering dietetic care to all inpatients within the hospital and we also have dietitians who deliver this is the community .This role would involve supporting the department in booking ,or cancelling clinic appointments , speaking with patients on the telephone and also supporting the dietitians with all admin that will be associated with patient care .

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be providing day to day support and administrative service to the Dietetic team. The post holder will be expected to organise their own workload to ensure that an efficient service is provided.
The post holder will manage clinic diaries, incoming telephone, e-mail, and written correspondence, arrange and prepare papers for meetings and take minutes.
The post holder will need to be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of confidentiality issues and to respond to queries within and outside of the organisation in a professional and empathetic manner using your own judgement and decision-making skills. Must be able to convey information verbally gathered clearly and accurately via the telephone and other electronic forms of communication and from both verbal and documented reports.
