Administration Assistant to Cardiac CNS team

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital provider in the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System (ICS), which is a system of health and care partners working together for our local population.

Within Mid and South Essex there are 149 GP practices, operating from over 200 sites, forming 27 Primary Care Networks and one Ambulance Trust. There are also three main community and mental health service providers who work together through a community collaborative.

Job overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and  friendly administrator to join our team and help support our Cardiac Clinical Nurse Specialists Department deliver excellent patient care through delivering a comprehensive and efficient administrative/coordination and secretarial service.

Main duties of the job

If successful, your duties will include:

  • Providing a wide range of administrative, I.T. and clerical support. This includes maintaining computer and paper-based patient records, preparing patient and clinic paperwork and responding promptly, effectively and appropriately to telephone enquiries.
  • Delivering comprehensive and efficient data collection/data input to the Cardiac CNS service
  • Maintaining effective communication with the multidisciplinary team and patients.
  • Liaising with wards and departments  within MSE and  and outside agencies
  • Booking clinic appointments and procedures such as DCCV  in a timely fashion and cash up clinics when finished
