Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital provider in the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System (ICS), which is a system of health and care partners working together for our local population.
Within Mid and South Essex there are 149 GP practices, operating from over 200 sites, forming 27 Primary Care Networks and one Ambulance Trust. There are also three main community and mental health service providers who work together through a community collaborative.
We collaborate with other valuable partners, including three Healthwatch organisations, nine voluntary and community sector organisations and three top tier local authorities, with seven district, borough and city councils, as well as our local universities.

Are you looking for an exciting new role?
To provide high quality and comprehensive senior administrative support for Medical Education at Broomfield Hospital. The role is varied and interesting with key responsibilities including organisation of mandatory weekly teaching programmes, coordination of GP Refresher course and managing applications for placements from clinical observers.
The medical education team works closely with our Site Director of Medical Education (Site DME), Specialty Tutors, Site Undergraduate Sub Deans, Senior Educators, Clinical Teaching Fellows, medical workforce and finance colleagues, medical schools, Royal Colleges and NHS England East of England (NHS EoE). The medical education team is also involved in the continuous professional development of GPs and hospital doctors.
The administrator role could include taking responsibility of one specific portfolio and incorporating the expectations of the role into that portfolio. Whilst the main duties and responsibilities listed below are relevant to all levels, there may be specific tasks that only relate to the education level the administrator may be overseeing.
Main duties of the job
Within this role your responsibilities will be:
· Provide support and cover for all aspects of the medical education office
· Responsible for providing an excellent customer focused service, including dealing with visitors, telephone and written enquiries and taking action as appropriate.
· Provide support to other members of the medical education team as required. This may include adhoc minute taking at meetings.
· Maintain regular contact with clinical supervisors and observers throughout.
· Regular communication with trainees and speakers as changes occur frequently.
· Jointly responsible for regularly managing and updating databases across different portfolio systems
· Matching topics with representative specialty areas
· Working closely with representatives, ensuring sufficient sponsorship generated to cover costs of sessions provide
· Ensure compliance with all Trust policies and those procedures relevant to the area of work
