Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital provider in the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System (ICS), which is a system of health and care partners working together for our local population.

Within Mid and South Essex there are 149 GP practices, operating from over 200 sites, forming 27 Primary Care Networks and one Ambulance Trust. There are also three main community and mental health service providers who work together through a community collaborative.

We collaborate with other valuable partners, including three Healthwatch organisations, nine voluntary and community sector organisations and three top tier local authorities, with seven district, borough and city councils, as well as our local universities.

 

Job overview

We are currently recruiting an experienced Occupational Health Adviser to provide an effective occupational health and wellbeing service across the three Acute Hospitals within the MSE Trust and external organisations, as contracted.

If successful you will actively participate and contribute to the development of a high quality Occupational Health & Wellbeing Service for all staff in the Trust and external organisations.

You will also proactively engage with all stakeholders in order to influence the health and well-being of the organisation and its employees and offer specialist advice on matters relating to occupational health and wellbeing.

The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse or hold Professional Registration, have a OH Diploma or equivalent degree and have experience as an Occupational Health Adviser either in the private sector or at a Band 5 level or above.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills who is dedicated to working as part of the team. Some of your main duties will include:

To provide an effective occupational health and wellbeing service across the three Acute Hospitals within the MSE NHS Trust and external organisations, as contracted.

To offer specialist advice on matters relation to occupational health and wellbeing
