Renal Home Therapies Junior Charge Nurse

Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced nurse to join our Renal Home Therapies as a Band 6 Junior Charge Nurse

As Junior Charge Nurse, you will play a key role in coordinating daily clinical operations, supervising dialysis sessions, and supporting the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality care to patients with chronic kidney disease. You will act as a role model, promoting best practice and contributing to service improvement initiatives.

A structured induction, ongoing mentorship, and access to renal-specific training will be provided to ensure you feel confident and well-prepared in your new role.

 

Main duties of the job

Your role will be to help People to Stay Independent, maximise Wellbeing and Improving Health Outcomes by working with the multi-disciplinary health team, Social Services, carers, families and other agencies to achieve health goals during an inpatient stay and ensuring there is a an effective handover process in place that enables members of the health care team, social services, carers, families and other agencies to be fully aware of any care needs.

You will be a role model for ‘Compassion in Care’ and the Trust’s Vision, Values and Behaviours, adhering to the NMC Code, and challenge any colleagues who do not demonstrate these attributes and undertaking daily rounds of all patients seeking feedback, to ensure that their experience of nursing/midwifery care on the ward is positive, and act to put things right if any concerns emerge.

You will ensure that patient information is readily available and that there is an effective process tor gaining and responding to patient feedback, ensure all staff in the clinical area is compliant with the Trust’s Dress Code and Uniform Policy and demonstrate the principles of equality and diversity in practice, respecting the rights of individuals and groups.
