Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital provider in the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System (ICS), which is a system of health and care partners working together for our local population.
Within Mid and South Essex there are 149 GP practices, operating from over 200 sites, forming 27 Primary Care Networks and one Ambulance Trust. There are also three main community and mental health service providers who work together through a community collaborative.
We collaborate with other valuable partners, including three Healthwatch organisations, nine voluntary and community sector organisations and three top tier local authorities, with seven district, borough and city councils, as well as our local universities.

Rayne Ward provides in-patient surgical, urological and gynaecological care. A separate outpatient unit for early pregnancy and emergency gynaecology care is based on the unit, with whom we work closely with.

Main duties of the job
Duties will include but are not limited to:
Welcoming and directing patients, visitors and staff visiting the ward
Answering and directing phone calls and enquiries
Clerical duties relating to documentation for patients including their admission paperwork, clinical notes, filing etc
Other duties of a clerical nature which may be delegated from time to time
Requesting and returning notes
Using the electronic patient record system (Currently Lorenzo)
Maintain patients confidentiality and Information Governance
Be a productive member of the multi-disciplinary team
This post is Monday-Friday, but we welcome requests for flexible working. Mondays and Fridays will be essential working days.
