Job overview
Working Well is commissioned by Essex County Council and sits within the Essex Wellbeing Service. The programme aims to support the holistic health and wellbeing of any workplace based in Essex. We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated training practitioner to join our team as part of an 18th month fixed-term contract (with possible extension of 6 months), to update our existing eLearning and organise and deliver additional training, webinars and guest speaker sessions.
The 2 year contract will focus on reducing health inequalities and improving mental health literacy of the Essex routine and manual workforce, in line with Essex County Council's Everyone's Essex , Public Health and Communities Business Plan 2025-2028 and the new national NICE Guidance (212) around workplace mental health.
Main duties of the job
Supporting the work within the specialist area of workplace health improvement. Working with key partners to develop, update and deliver a wide range of guest speaker sessions, webinars, online training, eLearning modules and factsheets.
Support the delivery of in-house MHFA England training courses using in-house and external trainers.
Research current workplace needs and trends and provide up-to-date information to support managers and employees.
Complete a detailed analysis report on training developed, delivered, ensuring evidence of impact against key project outcomes.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- Researching current workplace needs and trends and provide up to date information to support managers and employers on a range of topics including: stress, mental health, men's health, women's health, neurodiversity, financial wellbeing, mental health and suicide prevention.
- Reviewing and developing eLearning modules, online training and factsheets, ensuring all programmes are up-to-date and evidenced based, that will meet the changing needs of the Working Well programme.
- In collaboration with partners develop a range of mindfulness tools that will engage and support the Essex routine and manual workforce.
- Support the management and delivery of in-house MHFA England training programmes
- Complete detailed analysis and report on training developed and delivered, ensuring evidence of impact against key outcomes.

Qualifications and Education
Essential criteria
- Degree/NVQ Level 5 (or equivalent) and other demonstrable equivalent work based experience
- Train The Trainer qualification or equivalent level or knowledge or experience
- Evidence of commitment to CPD
Desirable criteria
- Understanding Health Improvement Level 2 or equivalent experience
- Trained Mental Health First Aid England Trainer
Work related knowledge and experience
Essential criteria
- Experience in a health improvement role
- Experience of delivering face to face and/or online environment on wide range of health, wellbeing and workplace subjects
- Experience of analyzing data and providing feedback, findings and recommendations
- Experience of project management within a similar role, involving managing multiple workstreams
- Demonstrable understanding of behaviour change theory.
- Clear and demonstrable understanding of health inequalities
- Demonstrable administrative experience
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in a public health community focused setting
- Experience of delivering MHFA England training programmes
- Experience of using online booking systems such as Smoothbook
Skills and Aptitudes
Essential criteria
- Demonstrable evidence of group facilitation skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and plan and organise complex activities or training programmes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with people at all levels
- Demonstrable IT skills across Microsoft packages including Excel, Powerpoint and Word
- Ability to develop , follow and manage multiple processes and procedures to ensure the completion of workflow and data capture required
Desirable criteria
- Ability to use and manage multi-media platforms including webinars, Speechify, Jellypod etc

- Car owner - must be able to travel to various areas of Essex as part of the job
