Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Admin Team Lead within the Dermatology Department at the Primary Care Centre. This role will work closely with the Operational Coordinator, Admin Team and Clinical Team.

The role is pivotal in some line managing admin support across the department therefore, it is desired that you have previous experience line managing staff and you also need to be competent in delivering advice and support to staff. You will be used to managing many competing priorities on a daily basis. We are looking for individuals with a positive approach to change who are supportive of service improvements.

You will be expected to use your own initiative and able to work unsupervised, undertaking specific project work as necessary. You will be expected to plan and manage a range of complex duties, organise own work and that of others to meet deadlines and respond professionally to enquires both internally and externally to the organisation.

This post would suit someone with focused attention to detail, distinct organisation skills and the ability be agile with their workload and manage change. 

 

Main duties of the job

  • Management and validation of quality and operational data working closely with the relevant staff.
  • Line Management of a defined team of administration staff.
  • Attend huddle board meetings and promote staff to work through problems with solutions as well.
  • Monitor and prioritise own and team’s workload and activity to ensure deadlines and targets are met. Incorporate new practices to take account of new technology, demand/capacity tools.
  • Arrange, attend, and take minutes of department meetings.
  • Maintain action logs.
  • Support the Operational Coordinator with any tasks required including clinic activity, new starter checklists and open referrals.
