Job overview
An exciting vacancy has arisen in the Dietetic team at Colchester Hospital for a rotational band 5 position. The role offers the opportunity to work as part of the adult acute team providing dietetic input to a wide range of wards and at the same time, gain experience within a variety of different specialist areas including oncology, community, stroke, gastroenterology, surgery and paediatrics through rotational learning and service delivery. The community rotation is a full time rotation, during other rotations, time is split across the general caseload and specialist rotational area. There is support from colleagues working across all clinical specialities and the team works closely with colleagues in other professions including SLT and nutrition nurses with whom we are co-located.
Main duties of the job
To provide an in-patient service by advising on the management and treatment of adult patients on a variety of wards.
To provide an out-patient service to referred patients within Colchester Hospital and community locations. This will include managing HEF patients.
To participate in the rotational learning programme and other developmental opportunities.
Caseloads are subject to change to meet demand and capacity within the department.

- Current HCPC registration in Dietetics
Desirable criteria
- Member of British Dietetic Association
- Car owner/driver/access to a motor vehicle (role will involve travel to other sites that cannot be easily accessed by public transport means)
Experience

- Experience of working within a team
- Experience of working in different clinical settings within student training
