Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated Head of Facilities to join our dynamic Facilities department.
As a post holder you will support the Assistant Director Estates Strategy & Property. You will be responsible for the management of the Trust’s operational outsourced soft FM contracts ensuring compliance with National Standards and all contractual, financial and performance matters associated with the delivery of those services, ensuring robust contract management processes are implemented and followed for collecting, monitoring and delivering contractual KPIs.

Main duties of the job
· Responsible for the management of the Trust’s operational outsourced soft FM contracts ensuring compliance with National Standards and all contractual, financial and performance matters associated with the delivery of those services, and that Key Performance Indicators are achieved and exceeded where possible.
· Act as the primary point of contact for Facilities matters related to the patient environment, with emphasis in particular to the outsourced Soft FM contract, including but not limited to: Catering, Domestic Cleaning Services, Porters, Car Parking, Waste Management, Pest control, Linen and Laundry functions, Transport, Postal services
· To lead in managing the delivery of procurement savings, budget control, statutory contract compliance and the achievement of the Trust’s plans and objectives in relation to Soft FM Services
· Communicate with internal and external parties using negotiation and diplomacy skills to ensure compliance with performance targets and strategic objectives.
· To monitor and manage the Trust Soft FM contract identifying, investigating, and negotiating solutions for variances, breaches, and other issues.

- Proven experience of managing large/ complex contracts
- Proven experience in delivery cost improvement plans
- Experience of managing and motivating a large team or teams
- Leading changes in practice in a complex environment to improve performance/services
- Responsible for a significant budget and budget setting
- Identifying and interpreting national policy and implementing required changes
- Business case development
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Financial procedures including budget setting and working knowledge of financial processes
- Business planning /annual planning/long term planning
- In depth understanding of change management
