An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the most forward thinking, innovative and proactive Therapies teams in the East of England!
This role will be working with the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy teams at Colchester Hospital.
It offers the opportunity to work within therapies in clinical specialties such as Obstetrics, Surgical and Gynaecological wards and Outpatient follow up classes.

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Therapy assistant to work with the team to assess, treat and complete referrals for a wide variety of Obstetrics, Surgical and Gynaecological patients.
You should have experience of working in rehabilitation ideally within an NHS setting, be enthusiastic and keen to work with the Therapies team to provide an excellent service. You will need to have good communication and organisation skills, be a team worker and able to use your own initiative.
The ideal candidate would be educated to Foundation degree/ level 5 Qualification in Healthcare / Sport and Exercise Science or similar, and have an interest in specialising in the field of Women's Health.
You will be supported by qualified therapists, working within a competency framework and will be given all necessary training for the job. You will manage your own workload and participate in team and service development.
You will be expected to work weekends, approximately 1 in 5, as part of our 7 day service.

Experience

- NHS experience in any clinical role
