Job overview

We’re looking for a driven and proactive individual to take the lead on three transformative projects within ESNEFT: 

Tendring 100 Project: 

A partnership-led initiative launched in late 2024 by East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust in collaboration with Colchester Institute, Career Track, Tendring District Council, Essex County Council, and Healthwatch Essex. 

Our ambition is to create 100 new apprenticeship opportunities across the Tendring District Council area, targeting local residents and aiming to drive economic growth and improve health equity

Colchester Apprenticeships Project:

A locally delivered initiative supported by the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund. Our ambition is to create 25 new apprenticeship opportunities across identified Colchester area, targeting local residents and aiming to drive economic growth and improve health equity.

King’s Trust initiative:

An employment project aimed at supporting employment pathways for young people & those facing barriers to employment.

This fixed term role is a fantastic opportunity, you’ll be at the heart of delivering impactful change whilst working alongside senior leaders.

In this role, you’ll not only gain hands-on experience in planning, delivering, and evaluating projects. You will also have the chance to line manage team members and develop your leadership skills in a supportive environment.

Main duties of the job

  • Consistent provision of higher level comprehensive project management and administrative support.
  •  Undertake the management of projects
  •  Responsible for a defined area of work
  •  Manage, prioritise, plan and organise own time and co-ordinate that of your team and external partners if appropriate, using extensive knowledge, skills and experience.
  •  Provide leadership that encourages high performance from other staff within your team, external 
    partners with the aim of maintaining optimum efficiency within the projects you are working on.
  • Train and provide support/line management to enable other team members and partners to deliver against project objectives.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • GCSE grade 5/C or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Project management qualification or equivalent experience
  • Relevant experience to degree level

Experience

  • Previous project management experience
  • Working collaboratively as part of a team
  • Experience of communicating with a range of people both within and external to the organisation
  • Experience of dealing with non-routine administrative matters
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Highly effective written skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and deadlines
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working within the Apprenticeship industry
  • Experience of working with members of the public
  • Supervision/co-ordination of other team members

Knowledge and Skills

Essential criteria
  • Confidentiality and Data Protection
  • Project Management Understanding of employability and training programmes, including apprenticeships
  • Knowledge of relevant work area and specialist terminology
  • Data management and reporting methodologies
  • Microsoft word/excel and power point
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet the demands of the service
