Job overview

Working with other members of the team, ensure the provision and delivery of a first class Ophthalmology service to our patients. The post holder will be given the opportunity to enhance and develop their ophthalmology skills that fit with the needs of the department. The post holder will be responsible to the Lead Consultant for the service in which they are working at any given time. 

Main duties of the job

The job plan will include 8.5 Programmed Activities and 1.5 SPA (for supporting professional activities). This will be subject to the job planning process taking into account the special interest of the successful candidate. 

Clinics running will include  Eye Emergency clinics

There is no on-call commitment in this post.

The successful candidate will be expected to work within multi-disciplinary teams in providing high quality clinical care.

 

The post holder will be given the opportunity to enhance and develop their ophthalmology skills which fit with the needs of the department.

 

To collaborate with colleagues to deliver a high quality, timely service and to work towards meeting the Trust’s and departmental objectives.
