Main duties of the job
- Complete the delivery of specific skilled work to assist the lymphoedema specialists in the treatment of patients with Lymphoedema. You will be supported by Lymphoedema Specialists but will be required to work independently within competencies. This includes autonomously implementing prescribed plans of care under minimal indirect supervision to patients requiring assessment and intervention, assessing the effectiveness of the care provided reporting any issues to the relevant member of the lymphoedema service.
- You will also be involved in leading a face to face exercise group for post op breast cancer patients to enable them to increase their range of movement and overall function to prepare them for upcoming cancer treatment. You will use a person-centred approach in the planning, implementation, evaluation and monitoring of breast care patients and have some autonomy in developing the group further including the implantation of virtual aspects of care.
- Lead a face to face education self-management support group for Lymphoedema patients to enable best self-management. You will use a person-centred approach in the planning, implementation, evaluation of the group work and have some autonomy in developing the group further including the implantation of virtual aspects of care.
