Are you passionate about delivering high-quality services that make a real difference to patient care? We are looking for a proactive and reliable Senior Facilities Assistant (Mobile) to support the delivery of domestic and catering services across our community hospital sites.

This is a varied and hands-on role that combines operational support, staff supervision, quality monitoring, and service coordination. Working across multiple locations, you will play a key role in ensuring our environments remain clean, safe, welcoming, and compliant with healthcare standards. You will support the Soft FM Coordinator in maintaining service excellence, overseeing day-to-day facilities activities, and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and patient experience are achieved.

The successful candidate will be a team player with strong organisational skills, a flexible approach, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Available as a full-time role across both our Halstead and Maldon sites, or as a part-time role at either location (hours to be agreed)

Main duties of the job

•    Support the day-to-day delivery of domestic and catering services across community hospital sites. 
•    Provide guidance and supervision to Facilities staff, ensuring duties are completed effectively and in accordance with organisational policies and procedures. 
•    Assist with staff rota management and help ensure adequate service cover is maintained across sites. 
•    Carry out inspections, audits, and cleaning checks, maintaining standards are consistently maintained. 
•    Compliance with Food Safety, Infection Prevention, Health & Safety, COSHH, and organisational procedures and highlight Soft FM Coordinator. 
•    Support the induction, training, and development of new Facilities staff. 
•    Maintain appropriate stock levels of cleaning materials, food supplies, and consumables are maintained. 
•    Record and report maintenance issues, helping to ensure defects are addressed promptly. 
•    Maintain effective communication within departments to support excellent service delivery. 
•    Provide hands-on operational support, including domestic and catering duties, when required to maintain service continuity. 
•    Travel between sites to support service needs and ensure a consistent standard of facilities provision and flexible working to check all staff shifts.
