The role of the Macmillan Head and Neck Associate Clinical Nurse Specialist is vital to the patient journey, acting as a core member of the clinical team, responsible for the provision of high-quality pain services based at Southend Hospital but may require to attend other sites

Main duties of the job

Providing expert specialist clinical advice for patients, carers and health care professionals

Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based policies / protocols and guidelines within the specialty in collaboration with other professional groups and users.

Keep accurate patient records and ensure the patient pathway is coordinated and supported

  • Experience of case management in diagnostics, long term conditions/cancer
  • Coaching/CBT/ motivational interviewing training or experience
  • Demonstrable experience working in the NHS
