Reporting Analytics Manager

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital provider in the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System (ICS), which is a system of health and care partners working together for our local population.
Within Mid and South Essex there are 149 GP practices, operating from over 200 sites, forming 27 Primary Care Networks and one Ambulance Trust. There are also three main community and mental health service providers who work together through a community collaborative.
We collaborate with other valuable partners, including three Healthwatch organisations, nine voluntary and community sector organisations and three top tier local authorities, with seven district, borough and city councils, as well as our local universities.
Job overview
The post-holder will play a key role in the data and reporting workstream for the implementation the single Electronic Patient Record. Working in the Business Analysis and Reporting team, the position will have responsibility for supporting the Head of Performance and Information in planning and managing the execution of system testing for all performance reporting from the new EPR. A SQL expert, the post-holder will design and develop often highly-complex reports. Responsible for the delivery of regular and ad-hoc reports, for the purpose of supporting operational performance, resource management, business planning and the corporate and project requirements of the Trust.
The post-holder is responsible for ensuring internal and contractual performance reporting is quality assured and delivered on time. Where improvement on quality and accuracy is necessary, the post holder will advise and support services on the actions required to improve their adherence to national and contractual standards.
The post-holders will play a critical role in the future development of the Trusts performance and business reporting procedures and systems.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will be required to attend regular meetings as part of the new EPR programme to present progress updates and raise escalations, take responsibility for actions and resolve issues affecting the delivery of key milestones.
As Reporting Analytics Manager, you will be seen as a subject matter expect on technical solutions, capable of self prioritising and helping prioritise others whilst managing conflicting demands, be able to support team members, all with the aim of ensuring that the Trust has reliable and accurate information to support decisions and deliver the highest quality care to our patients

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
1. To support the Head of Performance and Information with planning and delivery of reporting from the new EPR system. Including test scripts, data quality cycles, organising team support through workload allocation.
2. To lead on the development and delivery of reporting solutions, providing excellent analytical services to support the operational teams and corporate agenda, creating reporting solutions that meet current and future requirements.
3. To work closely with Heads of Service to define performance requirements and provide quality assurance by routinely reviewing reports published for services and advising on purpose and design.
4. Work in partnership with corporate teams and BAR team colleagues to ensure there is regular provision of information to support the following performance management reporting.

Essential criteria
- Degree or equivalent experience
- Evidence of recent personal development or learning
- Demonstrable experience working in this field and evidence of working at in a role that necessitated working independently without day to day direction
Desirable criteria
- Health Informatics Qualification
- Post Graduate Qualification
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- A general understanding of the NHS and key developments shaping the performance agenda Knowledge of NHS Performance and data modelling
- Knowledge of NHS Performance and data modelling
- Detailed knowledge of the patient pathway through Mental Health services
Desirable criteria
- Project Management experience and/or skills
- Previous experience and knowledge of Foundation Trust performance requirements
- Experience of new system deployments, including testing.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
