Cardiographer – Southend Hospital
We are seeking a permanent Cardiographer to join our busy and expanding department. We provide a wide range of diagnostic investigations across both Cardiology and Respiratory services and are looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join our friendly, experienced team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience within a healthcare setting. No previous experience is required, as full training and support will be provided for the successful candidate.
As a Cardiographer, your role will include performing 12‑lead ECGs, fitting a variety of ambulatory cardiac monitors, and carrying out spirometry tests, alongside other diagnostic investigations within the cardiology department. You will play a key role in supporting high‑quality patient care and ensuring investigations are carried out accurately and efficiently.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised and patient‑focused, with good communication skills and a willingness to learn. Main duties of the job
- Perform routine ECG recordings
- Undertake 24‑hour ambulatory cardiac monitoring, including - Programming devices, Fitting and removal of monitors, Downloading and transferring data to computer systems
- Carry out R‑test monitoring, including fitting, removal and data downloading
- Perform 24‑hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, including: Programming equipment, Fitting and removal of monitors, Downloading and recording results
