Exciting opportunity to join the Stroke Team

The stroke rehab team are looking for a dynamic and resourceful physiotherapist to join them in a  full time Band 6 position.

We are a supportive therapy team looking to recruit a physiotherapist with a broad range of experience, to join our team.  The post will cover acute stroke and stroke rehabilitation.

You will require strong leadership skills and the ability to engage others, with a proactive approach to service development.

You will also demonstrate a strong commitment to a person centred approach in line with the Trust Values and Behaviours.

Main duties of the job

This role offers opportunities to develop clinically and managerially within a friendly and supportive environment. Training and clinical development opportunities are available, with support to attend recognised courses within the area of your rotation to support your development in addition to providing comprehensive in-service training and regular clinical supervision.  We will also support the development of your skills in appraisal management and leadership skills with relevant courses.

Our Band 7 Team Leaders are highly experienced in their fields, providing support and training opportunities for personal development.

You will supervise of students from University of Essex and University of Hertfordshire and the mentoring of Band 5 Physiotherapists and Rehabilitation Assistants. 

Provide regular clinical supervision and joint working opportunities for band 5 and unqualified staff

You will be required to do on call and weekend working, for which we provide a comprehensive training package.

Be responsible for the planning and delivery of high quality Physiotherapy with a focus on assessment, rehabilitation and safe discharge of patients within your care

Attend multidisciplinary team meetings, and training sessions relevant to your role.
