Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital provider in the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System (ICS), which is a system of health and care partners working together for our local population.
Within Mid and South Essex there are 149 GP practices, operating from over 200 sites, forming 27 Primary Care Networks and one Ambulance Trust. There are also three main community and mental health service providers who work together through a community collaborative.

We are offering an exciting 10-month secondment opportunity for a skilled and motivated Advanced Brachytherapy Radiographer to join our busy and dynamic team.
This is a fantastic chance to deepen your expertise, work with a diverse case mix, and contribute meaningfully to patient care.
Main duties of the job
Responsible for the management and leadership of a team of Radiographers, Apprentice Radiographers and assistants (3-4 staff) in the day-to-day organisation and activities of a treatment/pre-treatment unit.
Provide a timely, efficient and accurate service to the patient.
Work as an effective team leader following all departmental protocols.
Participate in, or direct multidisciplinary discussions about clinical matters that directly inform decision making to ensure best practice.
Recognise and resolve issues that arise during Applicator insertions or during treatment delivery.
Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to align schedules, share resources, and ensure that all aspects of patient care are integrated smoothly.

Essential criteria
- BSc (hons) Radiotherapy (or equivalent)
- HCPC registration
- Evidence of post graduate study
Desirable criteria
- MSc level study
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
- Post-graduate clinical experience with evidence of working clinically at a Senior Radiographer level or equivalent.
- Extensive working knowledge of Brachytherapy
Applicant requirements
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
