Job overview

Here is an opportunity for you to join us as a  Domestic Assistant.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of the cleanliness in specific area as set out in the cleaning schedule. These areas will include all communal areas, residents rooms, vacates, family accommodation, on call accommodation. The post is part of a team working within an residential staff accommodation.

 

Main duties of the job

All areas are maintained free of mould, dust, dirt and moisture through the process of daily and periodic cleaning.

All areas are maintained free from excessive refuse and kept tidy and presentable at all times.

To provide cover for all areas as requested.

To be flexible to cover either site as and when required.

Any other reasonable ad hoc duties as required for service provision.

Ensure duties identified on the cleaning schedule are completed. (Ovens, Hobs, microwaves, kettles, toasters, fridge/freezers)

Vacuuming/sweeping/mopping/scrubbing/carpet machine of all floor types.

Dusting high/low ledges and surfaces.

Bathroom, bath, showers, sink, toilets

Remove and replace curtains as required

Waste bins - empty and clean

Comply with COSHH Regulations

Ensure compliance with all aspects of Health & Safety legislation and the correct use of PPE.

To comply with Directives on Fire Regulations.

Vacate cleans which include rooms, family accommodation and communal areas as per designated vacate forms

Walls, doors, door frames, radiators

Mirrors and internal glazing including partitions
