Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital provider in the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System (ICS), which is a system of health and care partners working together for our local population.

The post holder will be the primary point of contact for our charity, providing a warm, professional, and confidential welcome to visitors, beneficiaries, donors, and staff. This dual role is crucial for daily operations, balancing front-desk visitor management with backend office support to ensure a smooth-running, efficient environment.
The post holder will be based at the Charity Head Office but be required to work flexibly in response to the needs of the charity’s service across the sites to ensure continuity of service.
As a member of a small charity, you will on occasion be required to work out of hours and at events in the local community.
Main duties of the job
· Act as front of house at the Charity Head Office, greeting visitors and ensuring people sign in and are met by the appropriate staff
· Answering telephone enquiries, taking and forwarding messages and taking donations over the telephone
· Respond to email queries dealing with routine matters and passing more complex queries to the appropriate member of staff
· Support the charity team when required with fundraising administration tasks and activities to ensure good relations are maintained with all charity supporters and internal stakeholders.
· Support office administration policies and procedures
· To assist colleagues in the charity team with special projects as and when required
· Provide general administrative support to the charity team, including photocopying and scanning of documents, filing, typing, and data entry tasks.
· Support the voluntary services team on occasion with volunteer enquires, stationary requests and other administrative functions
· Accurately collect, input, and retrieve data relating to charity activities using a variety of database systems.
· Thank donations made via online giving, in person, website or telephone donations ensuring donor profiles are updated accordingly
· Support Charity Shop and fundraising unit enquiries
