Radiotherapy Radiographer CT Lead

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital provider in the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System (ICS), which is a system of health and care partners working together for our local population.
Within Mid and South Essex there are 149 GP practices, operating from over 200 sites, forming 27 Primary Care Networks and one Ambulance Trust. There are also three main community and mental health service providers who work together through a community collaborative.

Job overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Radiotherapy CT lead to join our exciting team and take on an important role within our Radiotherapy Department.
You will be lead a team of Radiographers and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and accurate positioning and planning of Radiotherapy treatments.
You will be expected to demonstrate advanced clinical expertise and problem solving skills with strong leadership and communication skills.
We have a Toshiba CT scanner with 4D capabilities and use CRAD SGRT.
Main duties of the job
Within this role you will lead and oversee the daily operations of the Radiotherapy CT scanner. Ensure high standards of image quality and patient positioning. You will supervise and support staff working within the CT scanner and Mould Room.
You will need to communicate effectively with patients and their carers to explain complex procedures as well as contributing to continuous improvements to the CT pathway.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- BSc (hons) Radiotherapy (or equivalent)
- HCPC registration
- Evidence of post graduate study
Desirable criteria
- MSc level study
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
- Post-graduate clinical experience with evidence of working clinically at a Senior Radiographer level or equivalent.
- Experience of working in CT and pre-treatment planning
- Competent to administer IV and oral contrast media
Personal and People Development
Essential criteria
- Ability to lead a team

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
