Chedworth Surgical Unit is a brand new purpose built unit that takes elective day case and surgical admissions on the Cheltenham site. You will be working as part of the Chedworth Surgical Unit team delivering exceptional care for the patients attending the unit.
Day case surgery is becoming more common, it now makes up approximately 80% of all surgery performed. We deliver a increased number of operations carried out as day case procedures from a number of specialities including urology, breast, gynae, upper GI and orthopaedic. We require dynamic, compassionate and enthusiastic nurses to join our team to deliver exceptional care to our patients.
Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd
You will work in a clinical environment and provide a high standard of patient care, able to assess and prepare both major and day surgery patients prior to undergoing elective surgery either under local or general anaesthesia.
You will provide post-operative care to the day case patients and ensure a safe criteria led discharge home the same day.
You will liaise with the MDT, to ensure a positive patient experience and optimal surgical outcome.
