Job overview

Due to an expansion in the Cardiac services at the Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, we now have a vacancy for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with an interest in Cardiology, to work in the Cardiology Investigations Department.

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is set in the most beautifully scenic areas of the country.  The Trust covers both Cheltenham General Hospital & Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.  The surrounding areas covered include the Cotswold’s and the Royal Forest of Dean. We provide a full range of local hospital and community services for people in Gloucestershire.

The Cardiology Investigations Department within the Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a busy dynamic department offering the full range of non-invasive and invasive cardiac investigations.

All training will be given in house with a position of autonomy at the end of the training period.

The individual will be able to perform Electrocardiography (ECG) upon patients, in addition to being able to apply a range of ambulatory monitors for Cardiac & BP investigations.

Main duties of the job

To perform Electrocardiography (ECG) upon patients of all ages and conditions, to aid clinical decision making.

To apply a range of ambulatory monitors for Cardiac & BP investigations.

To deal with patients both in an IP and an OP environments.
