Are you ready to make a real impact at a strategic level?  

We’re looking for an experienced and forward-thinking HR professional to partner with a wide range of stakeholders to support the organisation’s strategic objectives, improve workforce productivity and aid recruitment & retention, using their expertise across all contractual issues and employment law relating to pay and reward and national Terms & Conditions.

Reporting into the Deputy Director for People & OD (HR & People Change) you will use your strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills to deliver meaningful change, and by driving robust controls and governance, you’ll play a key part in contributing to the Trust’s financial sustainability, realising tangible savings and cost reductions year on year.

 

At the core of everything you do will be transparency and equity, ensuring all colleagues are treated fairly and feel valued, supported, and rewarded for the vital contribution they make.

 

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

  •  Work closely with the Trust’s Senior Leadership to design and support the implementation of pay and reward methodologies.
  • Be responsible for the supervision of the implementation of all medical and non-medical employment contracts in the Trust
  • Report to the Associate Director of HR & Resourcing and work closely with HR Service Leads and HRBPs to support the successful operationalisation of strategy and policy.
  • Be the in-house Subject Matter Expert on all matters relating to pay, reward and benefits, and terms and conditions of service.
  • Be the Trust’s lead in all matters relating to Job Evaluation (JE).
  • Be the Trust’s lead in all trade union negotiations in matters relating to reward, contracts and terms & conditions of service.
  • On-site presence required for a minimum of 75% of the time initially

  • Designing and implementing pay & reward strategies and assessing effectiveness, including negotiation and socialisation with union representatives and other stakeholders in a large complex organization
  • Management of large-scale change projects and organisational development initiatives
  • Negotiating and influencing at all levels on contentious and emotive topics, including changes to working practices, with key stakeholders
  • Significant experience of developing, designing and negotiating HR policies and procedures
  • Expert knowledge of Agenda for Change Job Evaluation process and application / Job Evaluation trained
  • Expert knowledge of, and significant experience with the application of Agenda for Change and Medical & Dental Terms & Conditions of Service

  • Proven ability to analyse complex issues and recommending appropriate interventions and solutions to others
  • Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with a wide range of people regarding contentious and complex matters
  • Excellent organisation skills to enable prioritisation and co-ordination of complex and varied activities. Proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships, working across multi-disciplinary functions and build credibility quickly
  • Negotiating and influencing at all levels on contentious and emotive topics
