Job overview

We are seeking a Receptionist to join our busy but friendly team to work at Stroud General Hospital & The Vale Community Hospital, Dursley.
The post holder will be apart of the Reception team in accordance with Trust based policies and values.
We pride ourselves on providing high quality patient care and the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate the Trust values and meet the responsibilities of the job description and person specification. You will be computer literate, have excellent communication, interpersonal skills and a strong attention to detail.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, enthusiastic and be able to demonstrate the following
· Possess the ability to prioritize their own workload within a tight deadline together with their co-workers.
· Cope well under pressure
· Work well within a team and on their own.
· Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Have good organizational skills.
· Demonstrate initiative and flexibility together with good attention to detail
· You must be able to deal with sensitive information and interact with patients to deal with their enquiries.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- • Educated to GCSE level in Mathematics and English to Grade C or above
Desirable criteria
- • NVQ 2 in administration or relevant equivalent experience or qualification
NATURE OF EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria
- • Experience of working in a customer facing environment (face to face and via the telephone)
Desirable criteria
- • Some experience of working in a healthcare environment is desirable but not essential
SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE
