The department has individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and a family feel, we like to think that all are welcome here.

Main duties of the job
The appointee will be involved with the examination and treatment of patients in the Ophthalmology Department and will also assist in the Eye Casualty on a regular basis.
The working week will comprise 10 programmed activities. Any changes to the working arrangements will be by means of discussion and agreement.
Main duties include:
Carry out ophthalmic clinical duties as assigned
Undertake procedures, lasers and relevant clinical investigations as required
Work a 1 in 4 on call rota evenings and weekends (presently on call is 5pm to 10pm weekdays and 9am to 10pm weekends)
Take part in formal medical audits
The successful candidate will be encouraged and supported to further their career by developing a subspecialty interest of their choice.
