Job overview

We are excited to offer the opportunity for a Deputy Sisters’ role on the  Acute Assessment Unit to aid in providing high quality compassionate care to our patients.
You will be supported by a Ward Sister and Clinical Matron in your development within your leadership role. 
You will be experienced in leading and coordinating shifts and be able to demonstrate problem solving skills and an ability to develop staff skills and competencies. 

Full time hours required, with a mixture of days/nights and weekends. Flexible working patterns will be considered for all nursing applicants

Main duties of the job

The Band 6 role is the key supporting function to the Band 7 to enable the optimal care of our patients and to the success of our Trust.

Essential criteria
  • Professional UK registration e.g. NMC, HCPC
  • Level 3 Certificate/Diploma in Management and Leadership, or equivalent e.g. NVQ Level 3
Desirable criteria
  • Level 5 Certificate/Diploma in Management and Leadership, or equivalent

Experience & Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD) clearly recorded for professional profile
  • Evidence of significant post registration clinical work experience

Skills & Ability

Essential criteria
  • Clinical Skills appropriate to the relevant speciality
  • Customer Service experience i.e. dealing with complaints and to manage any barriers to information
