Job overview

 

The Band 6 Specialist Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Specialist works as an autonomous practitioner with a caseload of complex patients within a team structure. This is predominantly a community post, covering Basingstoke and surrounding areas, and the acute hospital week end rota.

 

There is access to clinical expertise and oversight to enable the optimal care of our patients 7 days a week. The delivery of a high quality, effective and compassionate care is essential to our organisation.

 

The palliative care service operates over 7 days.

Patient care is at the heart of what we do at our three sites: Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester and Andover War Memorial Hospital.
