Volunteering – one of the greatest gifts you can give in your life
is your time.
The Trust has an amazing team of volunteers who give their time and share their skills and talents to compliment and enhance the care our staff provide to patients, their families and visitors. We have an exciting opportunity to join our volunteer services team as a volunteer co-ordinator. We are looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals to join us in this important role at our Winchester hospital site and our Basingstoke Hospital site to support our Trust vision of delivering outstanding care to patients.
The voluntary services co-ordinators are responsible for promoting, co-ordinating and supporting volunteers across the Trust. This includes the selection and recruitment of volunteers, arranging volunteer placements, induction and relevant training and ensuring appropriate supervision and support of volunteers in accordance with Trust policy and best practice guidance for volunteering.
You will have excellent organisational and administrative skills and be able to demonstrate good communication skills with a wide range of people. You will have knowledge and understanding of volunteering in the NHS and the benefits that volunteering can bring, not only to the patients, families and visitors but also to the staff and to the volunteer themselves.
You will have experience of managing people and have the ability to problem solve and to work in partnership to inspire and develop services for the future.
