The Family and Clinical Support Services (FCSS) Division at Hampshire Hospitals Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual for its the Operational Service Manager role for Maternity across Basingstoke, Winchester and Andover.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has the leadership experience to engage, encourage and support the existing team to drive innovations, efficiency and high-quality patient care.
The Maternity Service Manager is responsible for the delivery of operational performance, service transformation, workforce planning, financial control, and business intelligence across maternity services in Basingstoke, Winchester and Andover hospitals and community, alongside the outlined Divisional strategic priorities. This post will work closely with the Operational Service Manager for Women's health to develop and align the rotas for the medical staff.
This role will be based between Basingstoke & North Hampshire Hospital (Basingstoke) and Royal Hampshire County Hospital (Winchester) and will involve travel to other Trust sites as required.
Main duties of the job
The Operational Services Manager in Maternity is a senior operational leadership role within the Family and Clinical Support Services Division, reporting to the Director of Midwifery and accountable to the Divisional Director of Operations. The responsibilities include full operational accountability for a complex clinical service; advanced analytical and business intelligence capability; service-level financial responsibility and cost improvement delivery; strategic workforce planning aligned to safe staffing models; leadership of transformation and redesign programmes; integration with clinical governance and national maternity priorities; and influence across divisional and external stakeholders.
