Job overview

  • To enable WVT to successfully role out e-rostering to different areas and staff groups across the Trust, the post will primarily focus on the introduction of medical staff rostering, implementing a systematic rollout and to embed into the appropriate areas as agreed by the E-rostering Programme Board
  • To support with the basic configuration, maintain and develop the E-Rostering utility across clinical and non-clinical services within the Trust
  • To facilitate and monitor progress of the system, ensuring delivery value for money as identified in Key Performance Indicators.
  • To provide both face to face training to a larger group or 1:1 in the use of the E-Rostering system to staff who use the system which will ensure that full benefits are realised.
  • To ensure the system and processes are embedded in association with accurate and effective complex configuration being key to success
  • To be able to communicate effectively and manage complex and difficult and contentious queries and discussions

Main duties of the job

·       To assist in the basic configuration, setup, maintenance and development of the Trust E-Rostering system.

·       To work closely with service managers and staff to ensure that the rostering system is used appropriately, efficiently and effectively

·        To assist in the development of a comprehensive plan to support both long term and short term goals across the organisation around electronic rostering

·        Run reports from the E-Rostering system to enable management overview of the use of the system and analyse detailed results and escalate where required

·       Support where appropriate that relevant policies and procedures are followed with the support of Senior E-Rostering Team and contributes to the development/update of any relevant policies

·       Provide sensitive and contentious information to support the need to implement electronic rostering.  Where there are potential barriers to acceptance use interpersonal, influencing, negotiating and communication barriers to overcome barriers

·       To work effectively with team members to ensure that the rostering system reflects information held in ESR.

·       Use ESR to maintain the integrity of both systems ensuring that any anomalies are fed back to workforce information colleagues and the payroll team

·       Ability to work in a busy office environment, work flexibly and use you own initiative as appropriate, whilst working effectively as a team.
