An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Audiology Team.
The purpose of this role is to provide effective and efficient administration support within the Audiology Department, ensuring that administration processes meet the needs of all service users. The post holder will be expected to use their own initiative and work independently often without supervision.
The ability to work under pressure both individually and as part of a team is important to ensure that deadlines are met. Good organisational and interpersonal skills are essential in order to be able to achieve this. Excellent customer service skills are essential for this role.
The successful candidate will be based between both the Child Development Centre, Ross Road and The County Hospital in rotation with other members of the admin team.
Main duties of the job
· Provide administrative duties to the Paediatric Audiology Department and Adult Audiology Department, which involves inputting and maintaining accurate patient information on Trust systems.
· To ensure quality and customer care standards are met, contributing to positive patient experiences.
· Management of the audiology waiting list, amending, cancelling and rebooking lists and clinics that are affected by any leave, liaising with relevant staff.
· Answering the telephone and dealing with enquiries from patients, patients families, GPs, other departments and manufacturers in a calm and polite manner and in accordance with Trust policy.
· To organise meetings, agendas and keep adequate record of such, this may also involve
· To arrange hospital transport in accordance with Trust guidelines.
· Monitor shared email inboxes.
· Attend and minute departmental meetings

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Essential criteria
- Strong IT skills and knowledge, particularly Microsoft Office
- Ability to organise, prioritise and manage workload without supervision
- Knowledge and experience with health record systems, particularly Maxims.

Education & Qualifications
Essential criteria
