The purpose of this job is to support with, and to maintain the Information Department’s information and business intelligence Data Warehouse, to enable production of key dataset outputs for reporting internally and externally.
This involves the development, support and management of any reporting requirements and the update of these processes. This role will also act as deputy for the System Managers in their absence.
This role is key in working with the System Managers in the development of systems required to enable the Information Department to meet its statutory reporting requirements.
Responsibility to support any interfaces and downloads between systems within the Trust to enable data sharing.
This role supplies specialist support and technical expertise to the System Managers and to the rest of the Information Team and all other departments within Wye Valley Trust on the ongoing planning and development of their reporting requirements from their current/new systems.
There will be a requirement to work two days on site.
Main duties of the job
· Assisting the System Managers in the design, development, testing, documentation and support of interfaces between Wye Valley systems to improve reporting within the Trust.
· Setting up automated reports required by Information Analysts and other external stakeholders for their regular and ad-hoc reporting. To identify where work processes can be rationalized and automated and to assist in the setting up of new reports/queries when required.
· Support the System Managers in the development, management, and availability of Servers to ensure that trust wide business critical Information reporting requirements are met. These include Power BI reporting, and other SQL server databases.
· To work with individual users to enable them to produce both ad hoc and regular reports via SQL server, SSRS, Power BI, and other tools and to enable them to solve their requirements for data analysis.
· Where appropriate, support existing and any new systems that exist within the Trust.
· Effectively communicate on detailed Information reporting issues with Trust staff at different levels of the organisation
· To undertake any other duties as may be assigned to the post holder that are commensurate with the grading and responsibilities/competencies of the post holder
