Job overview

The Education & Training Facilitator will work as part of the Education and Development Team, and alongside Subject Matter Experts (SME’s), in the development and delivery of training programmes including Moving & Handling Training, Trust Corporate Induction, Organisational Development and statutory and mandatory training, according to service need, reflecting a responsive, flexible and outreach model of delivery.

Main duties of the job

To work as an integral member of the Education and Development Team in the delivery of Trust Induction, Organisational Development (OD), Mandatory and Statutory Training
To ensure delivery of in service educational programmes that are customer focussed and responsive to the service needs that provide robust delivery on core elements of training and to ensure the organisation complies with legislative requirements and quality and safety standards
To facilitate training to all Trust employees to maintain and enhance their competence by training, supervising, mentoring, facilitating and evaluating learning in both classroom and workplace
To organise, facilitate and deliver the corporate element of Trust Induction, including the management of the programme and the subject matter leads
To support staff whilst in the training environment in order to underpin previous theoretical knowledge with practical application.

Essential criteria
  • Education to degree or diploma level in relevant subject or willing to work towards
Desirable criteria
  • Teaching Qualification (e.g. PTLLS)

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

Essential criteria
  • Relevant knowledge of subject(s) covered in the mandatory / core curriculum including legislation and guidance
  • Fully conversant with MS Word / Excel / Access / Outlook / Powerpoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including a professional telephone manner
  • Good analytical and data skills with attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to respond with tact and empathy when communicating or dealing with sensitive information

Experience
