Are you looking for a new challenge? Wye Valley NHS Trust are seeking enthusiastic and dynamic Radiographers to join our MRI team, this post will include rotation between the brand new Community Diagnostic Centre due to open later this Summer and Hereford County Hospital.
The Community Diagnostic Centre will incorporate Imaging (Plain X-ray, ultrasound, CT and MRI), a range of cardiorespiratory investigations including echocardiography, ECG and rhythm monitoring, blood pressure monitoring, spirometry, FeNO, lung function tests, simple field tests, sleep investigations, oximetry, blood gas analysis and pathology services in a "one stop" location to obtain diagnostic information in cancer, cardiac, respiratory, musculo-skeletal and other conditions. During the last few years, our MRI department has undergone redesign and we have 2 Philips Ingenia scanners, and a new additional blue seal MRI due to be installed in the CDC. We are looking for highly motivated, skilled, state registered Radiographers to join our team. We can offer flexible shift patterns to support our 7 day working.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidates will be expected to have B.Sc Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualifications and experience of working in MRI. We are looking for staff to support the 7 day working in MRI and will offer a flexible approach to working. You will be required to supervise student radiographers and assist with the training of rotational radiography staff.
You will be expected to undertake all aspects of MRI scanning, cannulation and administration of contrast in line with PGD's and providing high quality care. You will need excellent knowledge of safe working procedures in the MRI environment.
If desired rotations between CT and MRI can be considered.

Education & Qualifications
Essential criteria
- B. Sc. Diagnostic Radiography Degree or equivalent
- Cannulation certificate
- HCPC Registration
Desirable criteria
- Post Graduate Certificate in MRI
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Essential criteria
- 2 years general radiographic experience
- Previous MRI experience in an acute hospital
- Ability to work in a high pressured environment
- Good understanding of MRI safety in practice
Desirable criteria
- Ability to demonstrate specialist knowledge and expertise
Experience
Essential criteria
- Ability to work independently
- Experience of prioritising workload and making day to day operational decisions
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of current NHS policies and procedures
- Experience of working in CT
