Main duties of the job
You will partner with the Divisional Director for CYP services to deliver great people experience in compassionate and inclusive workplaces that enable people to thrive so they can provide great care & achieve great outcomes.
You will interpret NHS & HPFT strategy and the implications for the Division. In partnership with Divisional leadership teams, you will devise evidence-based strategic divisional people plans to plan and manage risk and achieve divisional & Trust priorities. Plans will include:
· Comprehensive talent development plans, covering supply, demand, succession planning, career pathways, training & development
· Organisational Design – such as workforce planning, supporting development and implementation of innovative roles, use of digital innovations, deployment of staff and change projects
· Culture – such as leadership capability and development, team development, wellbeing, engagement, OD diagnostics and interventions, belonging & inclusion.
You will work as a pivotal member of the People and Organisational Development Directorate and sustain effective and supportive relationships and channels of communication to ensure that the services provided meet operational needs and support the strategic plans of the Trust.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/TRAINING
Essential criteria
- Educated to masters degree level or equivalent
- CIPD qualified
Desirable criteria
- Working towards MCIPD level
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria
- Thorough understanding of contemporary HR practices
- HR management level experience in a large complex organisation
- Evidence of providing HR professional advice and support at senior level
- Knowledge of employment law and its application
- Demonstrable experience of developing and delivering on strategic, transformational workforce projects, plans, solutions and change in a large complex organisation
- Demonstrable experience of effective coproduction and partnership working with managers, staff and Trade Unions
- Knowledge and understanding of key NHS issues including national and local policy drivers
Desirable criteria
- Experience of HR practice in the public sector
