Job overview
We are recruiting for a ASD coordinator who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
A part of this role will also be responsible for ASD Diagnostic pathway for our current caseload and support in all aspects of this treatment pathway.
You should have a sound knowledge of medical terminology and have the ability to work without direct supervision, be able to prioritise and manage workloads. you will be computer literate.
You will be the first point of contact for service users, GPs, consultant colleagues, nursing, admin and other hospital staff, patients, relatives, and outside agencies. You will provide professional and efficient secretarial and administrative support to the consultants and medical team.
Please note that the post is based at Danestrete.

Main duties of the job
The coordinator will be responsible for the admin and support of the ASD pathway and provide input and support in team duties. Cross cover is also required for the team where required.
You will have sufficient knowledge of Word and Excel and have the ability to manage short turnaround deadlines and have good presentation as well as good verbal and written communication skills.
The coordinator will be the first point of contact and communication for HCT staff, General Practitioners, consultant colleagues, nursing staff, administrative and other hospital staff, patients, relatives, and outside agencies in relation to the coordination of the ASD diagnostic clinks and waiting times.
To help organise division specific clinics and liaise with outside agencies to achieve this.
To maintain an accurate index of all patients’ notes held in the office area and to forward these to the appropriate destination as soon as they are no longer required, ensuring information is correctly recorded on the Lorenzo system.
